1. Preposition of Time

– We use preposition of time to say when things happen. (Chúng ta sử dụng giới từ chỉ thời gian để nói khi sự việc xảy ra.)

+ Use on with days and dates. (sử dụng on với ngày hoặc ngày tháng)

E.g: The movie is on Saturday.

        Do you want to see a movie on March 6? 

+ Use at with specific times. (sử dụng at với thời gian cụ thể)

E.g: The movie is  at 3 p.m.

+ Use in with periods of time. (sử dụng in trong khoảng thời gian)

E.g: I watch a lot of movies in  the winter.

2. Past simple with “to be” 

– We use the Past Simple to talk about completed events, states, or actions. (Chúng ta sử dụng quá khứ đơn để nói về các sự kiện, trạng thái hoặc hành động đã hoàn thành)

I  was / wasn’t happy.

He / She / It wasn’t (was not) / was happy.

You / We / They were / weren’t (were not) sad.

What   was the movie? It was Great Day,

Was it good? Yes, it  was. / No. it wasn’t.

How was the movie? It was terrible.

Where were they? They  were in the movie theater.

Were they happy? Yes, they were. / No, they weren’t

What time were the movies on? They   were on at 6 p.m and 10 p.m.
