1. Thì quá khứ đơn (Past Simple)

(Ôn tập và vận dụng theo ngữ cảnh thực tế khi kể lại chuyến thăm trường)

• Cấu trúc:
  • Khẳng định: S + V2/V-ed
  • Phủ định: S + did not + V
  • Nghi vấn: Did + S + V?
• Cách dùng:
  Diễn tả hành động xảy ra và kết thúc trong quá khứ.
• Ví dụ:
  • We visited an international school last month.
  • Did you wear a uniform when you were in primary school?
  • They didn’t eat in the canteen yesterday.

2. There was / There were

• Cấu trúc:
  • There was + danh từ số ít
  • There were + danh từ số nhiều
• Cách dùng:
  Dùng để mô tả sự tồn tại của người/vật ở một nơi trong quá khứ.
• Ví dụ:
  • There was a big library at the school.
  • There were many students in the classroom.

3. Giới từ chỉ thời gian (Prepositions of Time)

at: Dùng cho giờ cụ thể, thời điểm cụ thể.
Ví dụ: at 7 o’clock, at lunchtime, at night

on: Dùng cho ngày, ngày trong tuần, ngày lễ.
Ví dụ: on Monday, on my birthday, on May 5

in: Dùng cho tháng, năm, buổi trong ngày, mùa.
Ví dụ: in June, in 2020, in the morning

4. Giới từ chỉ địa điểm (Prepositions of Place)

in: Bên trong một không gian khép kín.
Ví dụ: in the classroom, in the canteen

on: Bên trên bề mặt.
Ví dụ: on the table, on the wall

at: Tại một địa điểm cụ thể.
Ví dụ: at the school gate, at home

under: Phía dưới.
Ví dụ: under the desk

next to: Ngay bên cạnh.
Ví dụ: next to the library

behind: Phía sau.
Ví dụ: behind the building

Ví dụ kết hợp:

• There is a map on the wall in the classroom.
• We arrived at school at 7:30 in the morning.
• The canteen is next to the playground.
