Let’s Visit: Portugal

Portugal is one of Europe’s favorite vacation spots. We are going to look at some of its best sightseeing spots to see why tourists love it so much.

1. The kings and queens of Portugal once lived in the University of Coimbra, and it’s beautiful! It’s one of the oldest universities in Europe and is a World Heritage Site. Tickets are 10 euros or 20 euros if you want a tour guide. After looking around the rest of the university, visitors can climb the clock tower and enjoy a fantastic view over the city of Coimbra.

2. The Gerês mountain range is in the Penada – Gerês National Park. It is famous for its high mountains, beautiful lakes, and wildlife. Visitors can see different animals, including wolves and eagles. The park is very popular for hiking.

3. The Lisbon Oceanarium is a very large aquarium. There are four areas which have fish form the Atlantic, Pacific, Indian, and Antarctic oceans. Outside the aquarium, visitors can see many sea birds and mammals.

4. The old town center in Guimarãme is a World Heritage Site. Guimarãmes was the first capital of Portugal, and the first king of Portugal was born here, too. It was many historical buildings and museums, and you will find yourself travel back in time while walking around this beautiful town. We love visiting Portugal and hope you will love it, too!

     This beautiful island in the south of Europe is the dream destination of many beach – lovers with its whole sand beaches and color blue water. Visitors can stay at one of many world – class seaside resorts on the island and enjoy the famous Mediterranean dishes, the healthiest cuisine in the world, or go on sightseeing boat tours to nearby islands and lagoons

B   Serengeti National Park, Tanzania

     One of the greatest wildlife – watching destination on Earth, Serengeti is the home of millions of wild animals, including giraffes, elephants, lions, zebras, and   buffalos. Visitors can watch animals and birds as they move in large groups in search for water and food, or meet local people and learn about their culture. The view of the park from a hot air balloon at sunrise is also something not to be missed.

C Dubai, UAE

     Dubai, a place unlike anywhere else on Earth, is a mix of beautiful modern architecture and non – stop entertainment. Let yourself be amazed by the Burj Khalifa – the tallest man – made structure in the world, take plenty of pictures in Dubai Miracle Garden with 45 million flowers, or hunt for bargains at Dubal Mall – The world’s largest shopping mall, where you can buy everything from clothes to cars, or even gold.

D Edinburgh, Scotland

     Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland and one of the most beautiful cities in the UK. It has many interesting historical places for tourists to visit including museums, art galleries, and castle. Every year, Edinburgh hosts a popular arts festival that attracts thousands of visitors. It’s and excellent place for sightseeing, so be sure to bring some good walking shoes and a camera.

Dylan and Mia love exploring new places. They are both keen swimmers and like places that are natural and unspoilt.

Jang – Mi is a student. She is studying photography at university and enjoys reading books about history. She wants to go somewhere she can explore and have fun taking photos.
