II. ĐIỂM NGỮ PHÁP (LANGUAGE FOCUS):
1. -ed and -ing participles:
– Một bộ phận từ là một hình thức động từ được sử dụng trong câu để bổ nghĩa cho một danh từ, cụm danh từ, động từ hoặc cụm động từ, có chức năng tương tự như một tính từ hoặc trạng từ. Nó thuộc loại hình thức động từ không hạn định.
– Hai loại bộ phận từ trong tiếng Anh truyền thống được gọi là bộ phận từ hiện tại (có dạng như writing, singing và raising) và bộ phận từ quá khứ (có dạng như written, sung và raised).
E.g: Looking at the plans, I gradually came to see where the problem lay.
Seen from this perspective, the problem presents no easy solution.
2. Requests with: – Would / Do you mind if …?
– Would / Do you mind + V-ing?
a) Would you mind if S + V(past simple) …? / Do you mind if …?
E.g: Would you mind / Do you mind if I sat here?
b) Would you mind / Do you mind + V-ing …?
E.g: Would you mind / Do you mind turning off your cell phone?
