1. Cấu trúc câu so sánh hơn
– Đối với tính từ ngắn: S + to be + adj + er + than + Noun / Pronoun.
– Đối với tính từ dài: S + to be + more + adj + than + Noun / Pronoun.
Ex: My brother is taller than you.
He runs faster than me.
Lan is more beautiful than her older sister.
My wife woke up earlier than me this morning. (early – y dài đổi thành i ngắn thêm er.
2. Cấu trúc câu so sánh nhất:
– Đối với tính từ ngắn: S + to be + the + adj – est.
– Đối với tính từ dài: S + to be + the most + adj.
Ex: What’s the fastest animal in the world?
The fastest animal in the world is the cheetah.
Linh is the most intelligent student in my class.
She is the most generous person in the world.
3. Adverbs of frequency:
Adverbs of frequency tell us how often something happens. (Trạng từ chỉ tần suất nói với chúng ta mọi thứ diễn ra thường xuyên như thế nào)
We usually put adverbs of frequency before the verb: (Chúng ta thường xuyên đặt trạng từ chỉ tần suất trước động từ)
– I always go to the shopping mall.
– I never go to the shopping mall.
Some adverbs of frequency can go at the beginning or the end of a sentence. (Một vài trạng từ chỉ tần suất có thể đứng ở đầu câu hoặc cuối câu)
– I sometimes go to the shopping mall.
– I go to the shopping mall sometimes.
– Sometimes I go to the shopping mall.
