Adverbs tell you more about verbs (Trạng từ cho bạn biết thêm về động từ). Many adverbs end in -ly (e.g slowly) (Nhiều trạng từ kết thúc bằng -ly. Some are different words. (e.g well) (Một số là những từ khác nhau).

It’s his ball. – It’s his.

It’s our trophy. – It’s ours.

It’s their backpack. – It’s theirs.

Remember! It’s shows the short form of It is. (Nó cho thấy dạng rút gọn của “It is”)

It’s new = It is new

It’s is a possessive adjective. 

+ There is a horse on the farm. Its name is Star. (the horse’s name)

+ Look at the dinosaur. Its teeth are long. (the dinosaur’s teeth)
